Pro- Life Summer Camps for Kamloops High School Student
Dates and Locations:
Vancouver: July 2 - 5, 2024
Calgary: July 29 - August 2, 2024
These week-long bootcamps provide high school students (grade 10 and up) with training in pro-life apologetics, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to engage in meaningful discussions about abortion.
Seasoned CCBR staff and interns will guide participants through interactive workshops and engaging discussions before helping the high school students participate alongside us in pro-life outreach initiatives. This hands-on experience will provide valuable opportunities to apply the principles learned and make a tangible impact in advocating for life.
With the early-bird registration deadlines fast approaching, discounted registration is available for Vancouver (until Saturday, May 25) and Calgary (until Friday, May 31)!
Registration information can be found at endthekilling.ca/western-bootcamps/
CCBR representative, Brittany, can also be contacted for any inquiries at bva[email protected]
Prayerfully consider this as a summer option for your high school aged child or grandchild.
First Saturday Silent Prayer
Each month on the first Saturday we provide an opportunity for you to join with us in silently witnessing with prayer to the inestimable value of all human life.
We are situated very near the access road to the hospital, providing an occasion for us to bring the message of respect for life to those who may be considering abortion or euthanasia. Both of these options are offered at our hospital.
In order to remain separate from the signs of appreciation for health care workers to which we do not want to appear in opposition, we will stand along the NORTH SIDE OF COLUMBIA ST. BETWEEN 4th & 5th AVENUES, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.
We will hold signs and pray for all aspects of the pro-life cause.
Regarding parking, Pastor Joshua of First Baptist Church has given us permission to use their parking lot, which is near the spot where we will be standing.
If we have the ‘happy problem’ of greater than 50 attendees, we will break into 2 groups standing on both sides of the street.
“Could you not keep watch for one hour?”
– Jesus Christ (Mark 14: 37)
Choose Life Kamloops (40 Days for Life)
In 2023 The Choose Life campaign began on September 23rd and ends on October 31st. Watch our newsletter for the 2024 dates.
Prayer time was held daily between 9:30 and 10:30 am along 3rd Avenue by Sacred Heart Cathedral.
This is a public and prayerful presence holding positive pro-life signs.
Prayer and fasting are encouraged for an end to the culture of death in our country and the world.
In conjunction with the parish CWL’s, we express our appreciation for the faithful attendance of so many and pray that our presence will make a positive difference to passers-by.
Annual Life Chain
Every year we join thousands of Canadians in this silent but powerful witness to life.
On SUNDAY OCTOBER 3rd, 2023, we stood along Columbia between 1st and 3rd Avenues from 2-3 pm, witnessing against abortion, euthanasia, and assisted suicide by holding a pro-life sign in silent prayer.
Even in COVID times, 81 attendees came out in 2022 to support us. Let’s double it for this year! Watch our newsletter for the 2024 date.
